Gentle Reminder: The Holidays Are Closer Than You Think
7 weeks until Halloween.
15 weeks until Christmas.
16 weeks until New Year’s.
Now here’s the real question: What are you doing to prepare yourself mentally and physically?
We spend so much time preparing for the holidays—planning costumes, buying gifts, decorating, cooking, traveling, and making sure everyone else has what they need. But somewhere in all that preparation, we can forget to prepare ourselves.
This year, I want you to think beyond the holiday checklist. What do you want to look like, feel like, and most importantly, be like when you enter the new year?
Start With Your Skin
If glowing holiday skin is the goal, now is the time to start—not the week before your holiday pictures.
Consistency over the next several weeks can make a noticeable difference. Keep your routine simple and intentional: cleanse properly, moisturize, wear SPF daily, stay hydrated, and avoid constantly switching products because you’re looking for overnight results.
Professional treatments can also be planned ahead instead of squeezed in at the last minute. Depending on your skin and your goals, facials, exfoliating treatments, dermaplaning, chemical peels, or a customized skincare routine may help you work toward healthier-looking skin.
And remember: healthy skin is the goal. The glow is the bonus.
Prepare Your Body, Too
You don’t have to wait until January 1 to start taking better care of yourself.
Use these next 16 weeks to create small habits you can actually maintain. Drink more water. Move your body regularly. Prioritize protein and balanced meals. Get more sleep. Take the walk. Schedule the appointment you’ve been putting off.
You don’t need a dramatic transformation before New Year’s Eve. You need habits that make you feel better before January even gets here.
What About Your Mental Wellness?
This one matters just as much.
The holidays can be beautiful, but they can also bring stress, financial pressure, packed schedules, family responsibilities, grief, and the feeling that you have to do everything for everybody.
Start protecting your peace now.
Give yourself permission to say no. Set boundaries around your time. Make room for quiet. Journal. Pray. Rest without feeling like you have to earn it. Decide what deserves your energy—and what doesn’t.
Ask yourself:
What do I want to leave behind before this year ends?
You have 16 weeks until New Year’s. Imagine what could change if you spent those weeks intentionally caring for your skin, body, mind, and overall wellness instead of waiting for January to decide you need a reset.
